When shopping for helmets, we suggest keeping the following considerations in mind:

Safety: Is the helmet certified? Look exclusively for helmets certified under the US CPSC Safety Standard. Many helmets are certified by other international standards, but the US CPSC is a must when buying bike helmets for kids.

Comfort/Fit: Kids will be more inclined to wear helmets that are comfortable and fit properly. The helmets offered on our site use adjustable fit systems inside the helmets. This allows for quick adjustment and maximum comfort for the rider.

Instructor Time: Time spent teaching kids rider safety is our task and we are always wishing for more time. One place to improve efficiency is to reduce the amount of time it takes to get helmets on and adjusted properly. Look for helmets with fixed point ear straps, magnetic chin buckles (also prevent pinching) and dial controlled internal fit adjustments. These will improve comfort and reduce time spent making adjustments.
